Well talk about bring the memories flooding back, there is a lot of trucks that i remember from your shots,
Clarks, Marsdens,Eastoes, Bromages, Leitchs, the old Pink Readymix trucks, Tony Palmers Flintstone and then his Superliner,Simon Kerswells KW Aerodyne, i got a shot of his truck with the Big Cab at Yalata in 1990 before it was supposed to have been stolen great shots, will have to keep an eye on this to walk down memory lane again

Hello Evan from Germany,
I am a Dutch truckdriver, living in Germany and because of a serious back injury now forced to stay at home (I fell last week backwarts out of my trailer) and do have now plenty of time to watch all those great sites on the internet. First, many thanks for all those great pictures you share here with us!!! I really love your first link with all those "older" trucks. I do build also truckmodells in various scales, much in 1/24-1/25 or in 1/87 (specialy heavy haulage, space problems and in that scale are simply the most and best modells) and I found tons of good ideas and colorschemes!!! A couple of years ago I was able to sell the rest of a modellstore that went broke and still have many of them in my "wanting to build" collection. Many old Italeri, Revell, Heller (Scania LB-141) and a couple of old AMT and ERTL. I did visit Australia and Tasmania in 1992 for 6 weeks (I did win a big price in a Dutch lotterie!!!) and since that time absolut "hooked" on trucks from "down under"!!! My biggest "love" will always be the "roadtrains", but I know, there more than enough "normal" trucks like we have in Europe!!! I met a truckdriver and for years we did have a very great postal contact, we were able to swap many pictures but he passed away in 2000 after a serious heartattack. I recognize some pictures in your collection, could be from him or just the same truck. I can't remember his name anymore!!! But anyway, it brings back many good memories!!! I wish you the very best and hoping you can make tons of pictures!!! Greetings from Emmerich am Rhein-Germany and Keep on Trucking!!!
The DAFman, Leo Gerritsen
