Dodge (fire appliance) truck 1926 Year:1926 Type: Fire appliance truck Engine size: 4 cylinders Doors: 2 Right hand drive: yes Transmission: manual Fuel: petrol Previously registered overseas: Tasmania 1926 Dodge (fire appliance) truck. Dodge chassis with a fire fighting body. Body constructed at Holden body works in 1926 and completed unit was forwarded to Tasmania along with a twin truck. So, there where 2 made at this time, the other is now in a museum in Hobart as you can see from the picture and info attached. You can visit this one in the museum as has been done and I do have photos of this other one to see to make restoring easy. This one I have is the other one of the twin and was brought back from Tasmania by the family to restore. The chassis and body parts pieces complete with some additional items to include, restored brass fire hose ends and restored brass fire extinguisher. All mechanics have been completely restored and complete with gear box and all in place. The engine has been restored to running order. All metal and wood required for further restoration on back shelf is included. Very unique find. Great for any avid restorer to take up. Cylinders –four Bore and stroke – 3 1/8” x 4 ˝” Gears – 3 forward and reverse Engine has been running Parts and instruction book included. Also “Original” Dodge Brothers -book of information, with large poster of Lubrication chart. Very rare find. Photos are of current view (with a bit of dust) . Also photos available of restored sister truck and of original pick up of truck for restoration. So there is some history available. In addition: Spare engine and gear box and pump and fan plus Graham engine to suit Heaps of spares, 2 extra steering columns, other spares still being accumulated to be included in sale. Rebuilt alternator. Extra parts to include - Graham engine made by Dodge brothers with 5 baring crankneeds work. Still sorting out items to be included and confirmed for sale.
